Carboxymethyl hydroxypropyl guar (CMHPG) is an anionic guar derivative maily used as a gelling agent for oil and gas hydraulic fracturing fluids to suspend proppant. CMHPG is easily soluble in cold temperature environments. Furthermore, CMHPG polymers exhibit a good thermal stability and can be cross-linked with a number of crosslinkers. Compared to normal grade guar, it has better anti-high temperature/pressure properties.
